Cool place run by a very nice family. The lady speaks good English. There's a pretty garden and nice big common area. We stayed only one night in one of the bungalows (quite basic but had all you need) and rented bikes from the hostel. When we returned after three days we were warmly welcomed, had lunch there again and they let us use the showers and booked our bus to Hanoi. Overall, highly recommended!

Five stars for the hostel and ten stars for the family. We stayed here twice, before and after the loop. Both times we were treated like part of the family. We arrived as hostel owners were having dinner with their friends. Right away we were invited to join. Amazing local food, good atmosphere, friendly people and never ending supply of firewater. The second time around, we were welcomed like long lost relatives - and it was a party! Even though it was only three of us guests, hostel owners and the staff, we started with dinner, continued with 'magic' drink and ended up with karaoke. Dung is a one man show, and his wife has an amazing voice. As for the hostel, it offers private bungalows and shared dorms. Affordable, clean and new. We recommend this place to anyone heading up to Ha Giang.

"I highly recommend Green Hill for anyone who ..."

I highly recommend Green Hill for anyone who comes to Ha Giang. They offer affordable private bungalows and a shared dorm, all clean and brand new (place opened 4 months ago). They also offer motorbike rentals, travel advice for the region and much more. The best part of this hostel is the family who owns it. Be prepared for some delicious local food, incredible hospitality and endless happy water. We stayed twice and would gladly come back.
