Me and my friend stayed there for a month due to the covid crisis, and I don’t have anything negative to say. The service is impeccable. The whole family and the staff are welcoming and super nice. Anything we needed, they would provide or help us get it. Will definitely come back to Moc May as soon as I get back to Ha Giang. See you next year! Jonathan

Very helpful kind people, offered us free stay, free bike. Very beautiful chilling area with pool table in the back. Rooms are decent. Food is very nice.

"The openness and willingness to help from the..."

The openness and willingness to help from the staff of this hostel was absolutely unique! However we didn’t book any accommodation of them, we received a lot of tips and service. We rented a motorbike for 4 days. The price was fair. We stored our luggage for free, left laundry and even were able to have a shower after our unforgettable trip. We also recommend their food and will absolutely book there the next time! Thank you for everything! Tom and Steffi

While this place offers decent accommodation, this is unfortunately the only positive thing to mention here. As already mentioned in previous reviews the staff tried to rip us off by renting us a scooter (they tried to charge 200k per day - we payed 100k after making some pressure) and telling us we have damaged it when we tried to return it. They even tried to charge us lots of things from their restaurant which we have never had. After some intense discussion we were able to pay the appropriate price and the "damage" was not mentioned again. If you ever go there and rent a scooter do not give them your passport as deposit. They did also accept our driving license / national id card. But actually if it is somehow possible, do not go there in the first place!

Great place to stay in Ha Giang, clean and reasonable price. Staffs are helpful and friendly. Motorbike rental available here.

We were told that it was only 2 months old when we visited, so our experience may be different than yours. This place was great and super clean and cheap. All those things may change as it becomes established or more popular. But the staff was also awesome so hopefully that stays the same! Enjoyed our one night here!
